We are extremely pleased with the remodeling project that Star is now completing for Grace Church of North Olmsted. Our project was estimated at approximately $1.1 million and organized in three phases. Each has gone very close to the plan, with the only deviations caused by our own change orders and schedule needs. In every case, Star was. very fair and flexible with us in these. Some things that stood out in our relationship were:

Star has an extremely talented team – the project management and oversight, design and engineering, and construction teams have been professional and talented.
Star does not nickel and dime – we never felt like we were being taken advantage of, and small requests were routinely handled without any delays or charges.
The team we had was very good to go over expertise about materials, design changes, installation methods, and more which made our job of deciding how we wanted some items very easy. Our confidence in them was high and never misplaced.
Star was fair in the estimate – we had three bids, and Star was a bit higher than the lowest price, but much lower than the highest. We are glad we chose them.
Finally, the Star Builders team was a pleasure to work with – they were fun, professional, and on top of everything from schedule changes, materials, zoning approvals, and more.

I should add one more thing; Star did a building expansion for us in 2001, and that project was very similar. They have a long history of delivering professional excellence in the construction space.

“STAR Inc. is by far the best contracting company I have ever worked with over the years. As a skilling nursing facility our environment can present some unique challenges when it comes to renovations. The entire STAR Inc. team, including Todd Mealwitz and Gary Hopkins, were completely understanding of our needs, and accommodated them kindly.

We have worked with STAR Inc. on a variety of projects varying is size. Our first project was rather large spanning several weeks. It required coordinating with a variety of craftsmen, and our internal maintenance team to move residents out of their rooms during the construction of vanities and closets. The project could not have gone smoother. Star Builders coordinated much of the construction off site and the installation was done efficiently. The workmen were understanding and patient with our staff and residents during the installment. Today we have beautiful new vanities and closets that brighten our resident rooms and increase storage and function.

Our second project was intended to be a small tiling repair project in one of our main shower rooms. However, once the tiles were removed the project grew exponentially with water leaks, rotten studs, and the need for new wall structures. The initial scope of the project had to be reevaluated. The STAR Inc. Team quickly reassessed the needs and made the necessary adjustments to complete the project so that all components were repaired functionally and esthetically.

We sincerely appreciate the partnership we have with the STAR Inc. and will partner with them again for future projects.
